Pussy Riot

So much has been written about the persecution of Pussy Riot. I think it's important to remember that behind those balaclavas and pretty faces are political dissidents of the highest order. Freedom of expression for artists is a fundamental necessity. I don't know how much their incarceration will change things but it's extraordinary and heartening to the feminist movement that this story is receiving so much coverage. R
